The goals of the CoE on Resource Politics for Social Development are:

  • To impact in a positive way through interdisciplinary research resolving resource politics towards supporting social development in Asia in each of our five inter-related research sub-themes

  • To promote co-production of knowledge projects as an effective means to integrate research and policy making for more effective outcomes in terms of impact on resolving resource politics for social development

  • To strengthen the capacity of the next generation of researchers and/or public intellectuals through ensuring they have the opportunity to work with experienced researchers in research projects on resource politics for social development

  • To provide forums that enable deliberative processes between a range of actors with a stake in resource politics issues for social development that is informed by knowledge products produced by our projects

The CoE on Resource Politics for Social Development also offers research grants and mentoring to MA and PhD students studying on the MAIDS and GRID programs of the Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University. The goal of the research grant program is to support young researchers to undertake studies on resource politics for social development and to publish their work in academic journals. Funding is kindly provided by Chulalongkorn University’s financial support for the Center of Excellence.
